iOS 6, the next-generation of Apple’s mobile OS has already been unveiled for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch with the beta version released back in August [2012]. A head of the expected full version release this week [September 12th 2012], I want to take you through some of the best new features you can expect from iOS 6.
A superior phone app from iOS 6

This revised mobile phone application sets reminders for you, plus you can reject someone’s call by sending that message that you are busy.
With the help of this app, you can be reminded to call someone back when leaving your present location.

No one likes the phone to ring when in a meeting. Now, you will no longer be distracted while in a meeting thanks to the ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode.

All your messages are saved into the phone silently even without lighting up the screen. Similarly, this feature can also be deployed for repeated calls from a particular person.

Safari for iOS 6 browser

The new Safari browser supports Smart App Banners. These are clever little banners that slide down from the top of a screen and offer those browsing from an iOS device the ability to launch directly into an app or download it from iTunes.

iOS 6 also facilitates iCloud tab sync which syncs viewed pages across multiple iOS devices.

Other features include an instapaper style of offline reading and website integration for photo sharing for easy and hassle-free uploading.

‘Facetime over 3G’ from iOS 6

You will be really amazed to see this app on iOS! Chatting with other mobile devices will be a real time experience with iOS.

Introducing Passbook with iOS 6

Passbook is a new e-ticket application introduced by Apple. Now, you can receive an electronic ticket for any event ranging from travel to sports.

You can also receive a loyalty card in the digital format with this app.
Ticket update is another facility that you can get from this new app.

Once you leave the departure gate or there is any kind of time change, the airline ticket will immediately notify you.

Selective photo sharing in iOS 6

You may not like to share all your stuff with everyone. This new operating system gives you the opportunity to make selective sharing â€" you can select specific photos to share with specific people.

So, use this app rather than creating a photo album for only friends on Flickr and Facebook.

How is iOS 6 distinct from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich? Well, iOS compares voice assistants, browsers and maps which make it feel very different from Android 4.0.

Guided accessibility for kids from iOS 6

Children, these days are pretty tech-savvy and hence they can operate almost any device whatsoever. Hence, it is necessary to limit their access.

Guided Access is that feature which can disable some parts of the device’s screen to prevent your kids from accidentally hitting any button.

Apple boasts of providing you an ideal Facebook integration you have ever experienced in any mobile device with iOS 6.
