Two new independent reports are saying that Apple will soon begin selling the Nest Learning Thermostat in its Apple Stores.

The first to come out with a report about the Nest Learning Thermostat inclusion in Apple Stores is iLounge which said that the device will soon be sold through retail stores of the Cupertino, California-based iPod maker for $249.

Speaking of iPod, Nest founder and CEO Tony Fadell was previously Apple’s Senior Vice President for the iPod division.

Next to confirm the news about the Nest Learning Thermostat is 9to5Mac which said that after learning about the news from iLounge, they can “independently confirm that Nest Learning Thermostats are coming to Apple Store locations very soon.”

The Nest Learning Thermostat, as the name suggests, is an intelligent home thermostat which learns about your use of your home with the goal of saving energy.

Features of the Nest Learning Thermostat include:

Auto-Schedule â€" A personalized schedule based on the temperature changes a user has made. This schedule continually adapts to its users lifestyle while the Nest Learning Thermostat is said to learn this schedule in about a week.

Auto-Away â€" The Nest Learning Thermostat automatically adjusts the temperature of your home to avoid heating or cooling an empty home. The process begins about two hours after a user has left his/her home.

Airwave â€" Airwave automatically turns off the AC a few minutes early, but keeps the fan running. The air stays cool while saving users up to 30%.

Energy History â€" A history of your energy consumption, it gives users useful information like the exact times their system was on and what impacts their bills the most with the aim of making better decisions about energy use.

The Leaf â€" The Nest Leaf appears when users turn Nest to a temperature that’s energy efficient. It guides users in the right direction.

Time to Temperature â€" Turning the temperature up higher doesn’t heat the house any faster, so Nest helps users save by showing you how long it’ll really take to reach the temperature they want.

The Nest Learning Thermostat is also equipped with sensors that help it learn about its environment and how it is used. These sensors include Activity sensors, a Humidity Sensor, a Weather Aware sensor which uses the built-in Wi-Fi connection of the device, and temperature sensors.

The Nest Learning Thermostat can also be controlled through your laptop, your iPhone or your Android device.

Nest says it built the Nest Learning Thermostat because your thermostat can control up to 50 percent of your energy bill.
