Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: iPod, Cell Phone and Purse Reported Missing - Patch.com

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department from May 14 â€" 20, 2012.

Sunday, May 20

11:32 a.m. â€" A South State Road resident reported that her neighbor's landscaper had moved stakes and plants that were on her property. Police advised the woman the matter is a civil issue. She was advised to speak with her neighbor to resolve the matter.

Saturday, May 19

12:39 p.m. â€" A man notified police that he struck a deer with his vehicle on Birch Road.

3:33 a.m. â€" A Fuller Road resident reported a large group was congregated in the street. Police reported the group was dispersed without incident.

Friday, May 18

8:49 p.m. â€" Police stopped a vehicle on Route 9A and arrested the driver, a 29-year-old Bronx man, for allegedly operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

8:49 p.m. â€" A Chappaqua Road resident reported receiving multiple harassing phone calls from a private number. The case was referred to the detective.

Thursday, May 17

6:40 p.m. â€" A Briarbrook Drive resident reported that while movers were removing his wife's belongings from their home, she discovered some of her rings were missing. The incident is under investigation.

12:34 p.m. â€" An Ossining resident reported losing her purse while shopping at A&P.

9:50 a.m. â€" A Winterberry Lane resident reported he had received a call from Chase bank notifying him that someone had attempted to open a bank account in his name. It was not clear if the account was successfully opened. A report of the attempted identity theft was filed.

Tuesday, May 15

4:40 p.m. â€" Police stopped a vehicle on Pleasantville Road and arrested the driver, a 45-year-old Cornwall man, for allegedly driving with a suspended license.

12:08 p.m. â€" A woman called reported to police that her daughter's cell phone had been taken from her pocketbook at Briarcliff Middle School. The alleged larceny is under investigation.

Monday, May 14

2:24 p.m. â€" A Larch Road resident reported losing his iPod at the Youth Center.

8:30 a.m. â€" An Oak Road resident contacted police and reported she had engaged in ongoing disputes with her neighbor. The caller told police her neighbor became upset when her children's balls ended up on her property. The incident was reported for the record.
