NORWALK - Sheriff's detectives asked for the public's help today to track down a man who stole a wallet and iPod from a patron at a Norwalk fast- food restaurant. | POLICE NEWS
The theft occurred about 9:30 p.m. April 25 at Douglas Burgers, located at 16306 Pioneer Blvd., according to the sheriff's department.
The victim, whose name was not released, ordered food, then sat down at a booth and put his men's leather Coach wallet and black iPod on top of the table. The suspect walked up, grabbed the property and ran from the restaurant, according to detectives.
He was described as a 20- to 25-year-old Hispanic man with brown hair and black eyes, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He had a sun tattoo on his left shoulder.
Anyone with information on the suspect's identity or whereabouts was asked to call detectives at the Norwalk sheriff's station, (562) 863-8711. All tips can be made anonymously.
