A handgun and an iPod have been taken from the vehicles of two Tilden Township residents, authorities said.
William J. Martin of Dogwood Road woke up Friday morning to find that someone had stolen his handgun.
The vehicle was in his driveway and he did not report hearing or seeing anyone.
Someone unlocked the car and took the pistol, valued at $350, sometime between Thursday at 8:45 p.m. and Friday at 7 a.m.
Just a block away, on Possum Road, a woman said her iPod Nano was stolen from her car in the driveway.
Someone entered Rosa M. Sobonilla's vehicle between Thursday at 10 p.m. and Friday at 8 a.m. and took the $145 iPod.
Police said that they do not believe the incidents are related.
