A 27-year-old Glendale woman successfully fought off a knife-wielding robbery suspect to save her iPod, according to police.
The victim wasn’t hurt during the attempted robbery, which occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Justin Avenue, according to Glendale police.
The victim was walking along the street when another woman threw her arm around the victim’s neck, police said. The attacker warned the woman that if she screamed, she would cut her with a 4- to 5-inch knife, police said.
The two struggled over control of the victim’s iPod, but the victim regained control and ran away, police said.
The attacker was described as a Latina or Filipina woman in her mid-20s, about 5 feet 8, 170 to 180 pounds with acne scars. She was wearing a ponytail, black hooded jacket, black pants and gray sneakers.
